Title: “The
ticket”.
I had
given my loving friend Marta a gift card to Women’secret for her birthday,
where my other, also lovingly friend, Carlota, works. Thoughtlessly, I kept the
ticket in my dresser drawer. After a few days, I got my hair cut at Marta’s
hair salon in Santa Cruz and then I met my sister to go to Lefties in Carrefour
to buy some jeans. I bought a navy-blue ones and ordered some light-blue ones
on the web, the girl told me that I must pay for them first and keep the
receipt, which later I also kept in the dresser drawer. After a few weeks, the
antivirus of my laptop expired, and my sister offered to go and buy one at
Carrefour. Coincidentally, Lefties sent me a message that my order had arrived,
so I asked her if she could bring me the jeans as well. I put my hand in the
drawer, and I grabbed the first ticket I saw. I couldn’t go with her because I
had to turn up at my internship at the NH Hotel reception with my internship
partner Araceli. A couple of hours later, I received a call from my sister
telling me that I gave her the Women’secret ticket. My Goodness! What do I do
now? The Lefties guy told my sister to take a screenshot of the QR code from
the email Lefties sent me and send it back to her via WhatsApp. Araceli helped
me to do that. In the evening, when I came from my internship, there were the
jeans. Comes out a human error can be fixed by knowing how to use technology,
after all.
